Regent Seven Seas Splendor Review: A Luxurious Experience

3–5 minutes

You know that feeling when you step somewhere and instantly think, okay… this is next level? That’s exactly how it felt the moment we boarded the Regent Seven Seas Splendor in Athens. From the warm welcome to the calm, polished elegance of the ship, it was clear this wasn’t your typical cruise—it felt more like checking into a floating luxury hotel that just happened to sail through the Mediterranean.

If you’re curious about what makes Regent Seven Seas Splendor so special, this review breaks it all down—our itinerary, the suite, the food (yes, lots about the food), what’s actually included, and whether this all-inclusive luxury cruise is really worth it.

The Itinerary: A Mediterranean Dream with a Foodie Twist
Our sailing was called Epicurean Spotlight, which already sounded promising—and it truly delivered. This wasn’t just about hopping from port to port; it was a journey through culture, history, and seriously good food.

The itinerary included:

• Athens (Piraeus), Greece
• Kavala / Philippi, Greece
• Istanbul, Türkiye
• Izmir, Türkiye
• Bodrum, Türkiye
• Mykonos, Greece
• Athens (Piraeus)

Every stop felt different, but somehow perfectly balanced—ancient ruins one day, buzzing markets the next, and plenty of unforgettable meals along the way.

The Ship: Elegant Without Feeling Overwhelming
Launched in 2020, Seven Seas Splendor carries just 746 guests, with 548 crew members. That guest-to-crew ratio really shows. The ship never felt crowded—no long lines, no fighting for space, just calm, quiet luxury everywhere you turned.

With 373 suites across 10 decks, there’s room to breathe. You can wander, relax, and actually feel like you’re on vacation, not navigating a floating city.

Our Suite: Basically a Five-Star Hotel at Sea
We stayed in a Concierge Suite, and honestly… it spoiled us. One of the largest balconies at sea meant slow mornings watching the sun rise over the Mediterranean with coffee in hand—pure bliss.

Inside, everything felt thoughtfully designed:

  • A ridiculously comfortable European king-size bed
  • A marble bathroom that felt spa-level
  • Walk-in closet (yes, please)
  • Luxury bath amenities that made every shower feel indulgent

And the perks? Concierge guests get:

  • Unlimited valet laundry (life-changing on a long cruise)
  • A pre-cruise hotel stay with transfers and breakfast
  • Priority shore excursion bookings
  • A personalized in-suite minibar

It really did feel like our own little luxury home that just happened to move from country to country.

The Food: Truly One of the Best Parts
Let’s talk about dining, because Regent Seven Seas Splendor does not play around when it comes to food. There are seven restaurants onboard, and not a single bad meal.

A few standouts:

  • Chartreuse – modern French cuisine with ocean views (a favorite!)
  • La Veranda – our go-to breakfast spot for fresh omelets and pastries
  • Compass Rose – elegant, flexible dining and beautifully done
  • Pacific Rim – moody lighting, lotus-shaped windows, incredible Pan-Asian flavors
  • Prime 7 – steakhouse perfection when comfort food cravings hit

Tip: Make specialty restaurant reservations early if you like dining at specific times.

Life Onboard: As Active or Chill as You Want
Days onboard were perfectly balanced. Some moments were lively, others beautifully quiet.

Highlights:

  • Playing Monopoly in the Card Room (unexpectedly fun)
  • Pickleball and golf practice on the Sports Deck
  • Lounging near the Infinity-Edge Plunge Pool
  • Relaxing in the Serene Spa & Wellness area
  • Cooking demos at the Culinary Arts Kitchen

Evenings were just as lovely—shows at the Constellation Theater, cocktails at Meridian Lounge, and a surprisingly fun Karaoke Night in the Splendor Lounge.

Who Cruises on Regent?
Most guests were well-traveled, relaxed, and genuinely friendly. The crowd leaned 50+, mostly from North America, Australia, and the U.K. Many were repeat Regent cruisers, which says a lot.

The vibe? Polished but never stuffy.

Dress Code: Elegant, But Easy
Days were casual—think resort wear. Evenings leaned elegant-casual:

  • Women in dresses or chic tops with trousers
  • Men in collared shirts and tailored pants

No formal nights required, but if you love dressing up, you’ll feel right at home.

This is where Regent really shines as a true all-inclusive luxury cruise.

Final Thoughts: Would We Sail Regent Again?
Without hesitation—yes.

If you love all-inclusive travel, thoughtful details, and a calm, refined atmosphere where everything is taken care of, this ship is absolutely worth it.
