Regent Seven Seas Splendor Review: A Luxurious Experience

3–5 minutes

Stepping onto the Regent Seven Seas Splendor was like entering a world of floating luxury! From the moment we boarded in Athens (Piraeus), Greece, we could feel the excitement of an unforgettable adventure ahead.

The Itinerary
Our voyage, aptly named the Epicurean Spotlight, promised not just a cruise but a gastronomic adventure through some of the most culturally rich ports in the Mediterranean.

The itinerary included:

Athens (Piraeus), Greece
Kavala/Philippi, Greece
Istanbul, Turkiye
Izmir, Turkiye
Bodrum, Turkiye
Mykonos, Greece
Athens (Piraeus), Greece

Each destination offered a unique blend of history, culture, and culinary experiences, making every stop a highlight in its own right.

The Ship
Launched in 2020, the Seven Seas Splendor accommodates 746 guests and boasts a crew of 548, ensuring personalized service at every turn. With 373 suites spread across 10 decks, the ship never felt crowded, offering ample space to relax and explore.

Our Home at Sea
Luxury aboard the Seven Seas Splendor is not confined to public spaces—it begins the moment you enter your suite. We chose the Concierge Suite, which features one of the largest balconies at sea. Every morning, we lounged in privacy, watching the sunrise over the Mediterranean. The plush European King-Sized Elite Slumber Bed made it feel like we were sleeping on clouds, and the marble-detailed bathroom added to the grandeur. Every detail, from the walk-in closet to the luxury bath amenities, was meticulously thought out.

As Concierge Suite guests, we enjoyed perks like unlimited valet laundry service, a pre-cruise hotel stay (with transfers and breakfast), priority shore excursion reservations, and personalized in-suite mini-bar setups. It was like having a five-star hotel room that transported us to breathtaking destinations.

Culinary Experiences
One of the ship’s standout features is its dining options. With seven exceptional restaurants, every meal was a culinary journey. Chartreuse, with its modern twist on French cuisine and panoramic ocean views, was a particular favorite. The daily breakfast buffet at La Veranda was our go-to for fresh omelets and made-to-order specialties, though we also enjoyed breakfasts at Compass Rose, the largest specialty restaurant onboard.

For a truly immersive experience, Pacific Rim enchanted us with its dim lighting, lotus-shaped windows, and exquisite Pan-Asian flavors. And, of course, Prime 7 delivered mouth-watering steaks—perfect for nights when we craved elevated American fare.

Tip: Make reservations early for specialty restaurants, especially if you prefer specific dining times.

Daytime and Evening Enrichment
Beyond the world-class cuisine, Seven Seas Splendor offers a rich variety of activities for every mood. The Atrium, with its grand staircase and crystal chandelier, serves as the ship’s stunning centerpiece. One of our personal highlights was playing Monopoly in the cozy Card Room, a perfect spot to unwind.

We also took advantage of the Sports Deck, where we played pickleball and enjoyed the golf net and putting green. For quieter moments, we relaxed on the sun deck near the Infinity-Edge Plunge Pool, soaking in dramatic ocean views. The Culinary Arts Kitchen is ideal for those looking to refine their cooking skills, and the ship’s Serene Spa & Wellness for a peaceful retreat to rejuvenate the body and mind.

At night, the Constellation Theater became the ship’s entertainment hub. The Farewell Show was particularly memorable, bringing a sense of closure to our journey. Afterward, we relaxed over cocktails at the Meridian Lounge or indulged in some fun at Karaoke Night in the Splendor Lounge.

Fellow Passengers and Atmosphere
The passengers on Regent Seven Seas Splendor are primarily affluent, well-traveled individuals aged 50 and above, mainly from North America, Australia, and the U.K. Most were seasoned travelers and had sailed with Regent before. The atmosphere was sophisticated yet welcoming.

Dress Code
The ship maintains an elegant casual dress code. During the day, resort-style attire was common, while evenings saw women in elegant dresses or stylish tops with trousers, and men in tailored trousers with collared shirts.

Tip: While formal outfits are not required, you may want to pack a couple if you enjoy dressing up.
