A crackling fire in the main fireplace, that cozy wood-cabin smell, and instant “ahhh” energy. It honestly felt like stepping into a winter postcard—except it was warm, comfortable, and we didn’t want to leave.
Inside the Chalet: Built for Together Time
The main floor is clearly designed for groups who actually want to hang out together. The kitchen was fully equipped (and then some), with two refrigerators, which made cooking for everyone ridiculously easy.
There were plenty of places to sit—between the dining table, bistro table, and extra seating—so no one felt cramped. After dinner, we all gravitated to the living room. Between the 55-inch TV, the projector setup, and the fireplace glowing in the background, movie night was an easy win.
One unexpected favorite? The steam room in the main bathroom. Absolute heaven after being out in the cold.
The Mezzanine: Games, Views, and Zero Boredom
Upstairs, the mezzanine quickly became the unofficial hangout zone. Pool games, poker, baby-foot, board games—everything somehow happened at once. Drinks from the minibar, laughter echoing, and those panoramic lake views framed by snow-covered trees? Unreal.
It was one of those moments where you just stop and think, yeah… this is exactly what we needed.
Sleeping Arrangements (Yes, Everyone Was Comfortable)
Downstairs, the chalet had six bedrooms, all super comfortable. The kids immediately claimed the bunk room (double bunks = instant excitement), while the adults happily settled into the queen bedrooms.
And can we talk about heated bathroom floors for a second? Stepping onto warm tiles in the middle of winter is a luxury you don’t realize you need… until you have it.
Winter Fun Right Outside the Door
What I loved most about staying at a Quebec winter chalet like this one is how easy it is to enjoy the outdoors—without overplanning anything.
The 6-seat hot tub was a huge hit, especially with the kids. Sitting in warm water while surrounded by snow just never gets old. We wandered around the frozen lake, watched the kids take over the playground, and yes—there was snow dodgeball.
If you want a bit more adventure, the area offers ice skating on the lake, snowshoeing, and dog sledding. Everything feels calm and magical, especially with the forest completely covered in snow.
