Weekend Getaway to Mont-Tremblant: Your Perfect Itinerary

3–4 minutes

Ever feel like you just need a quick escape from the city — somewhere close enough for a weekend, but far enough to feel like a real vacation? That was exactly how we felt leaving Downtown Montreal on a crisp Friday afternoon. Just 1.5 hours later, we arrived at the stunning Mont-Tremblant village, surrounded by mountains, cozy chalets, and that unmistakable alpine charm.

If you’ve been craving a short getaway filled with scenic strolls, delicious food, and a bit of adventure, this Mont-Tremblant weekend itinerary is exactly what you need. In this post, you’ll find our real-life 3-day itinerary — where we stayed, what we ate, and how we spent each day — so you can plan your own stress-free weekend escape.

Day 1: Arriving in Mont-Tremblant + First Impressions
There’s something magical about rolling into Mont-Tremblant just before sunset. After checking into the elegant Fairmont Tremblant — our home for two nights — we couldn’t resist a relaxed stroll through the pedestrian village.

Colorful storefronts, mountain air, and live music floating from patios instantly made us forget the city rush.

For dinner, we headed to Le Shack Resto-Bar, a lively spot right in the heart of the village. Their mixed grill platter (BBQ chicken, back ribs, and smoked meat brisket) is perfect for sharing — smoky, flavorful, and so satisfying after the drive.

💡Pro Tip: Arrive before sunset so you can enjoy that golden-hour glow over the village and maybe grab a drink on a terrace before dinner.

Day 2: Exploring the Village + Mountain Adventures
A Mont-Tremblant weekend is never complete without a hearty breakfast, and La Maison de la Crêpe did not disappoint. Whether you go sweet or savory, their crepes are the stuff of brunch dreams.

After breakfast, we spent the morning soaking in the village vibes. The colorful architecture feels straight out of a storybook, and taking Le Cabriolet (the open-air gondola) gives you a fun overview of the area.

Then came one of the highlights of the trip — the exciting Cable Car Ride to the summit. The view from the top is breathtaking, especially in fall when the foliage paints the mountains red and gold.

We grabbed light poolside snacks back at the Fairmont, then played a round at Mini-Golf Le Petit Géant — a fun, family-friendly stop that’s more challenging than it looks!

Dinner was a treat at Choux Gras Brasserie Culinaire, located inside the Fairmont. Their grilled seafood platter (octopus, scallops, halibut, shrimp, and veggies) was fresh, flavorful, and perfect for sharing.

💡Insider Tip: Reserve ahead for Choux Gras — it’s popular, especially on weekends.

Day 3: Morning Swim + Farewell Breakfast
We woke up early to take advantage of the heated outdoor pool, even though it was only 13°C outside. Swimming with mountain views and crisp air? Pure magic.

Before checking out, we enjoyed one last breakfast at Le Comptoir inside the Fairmont — a cozy spot for fresh pastries, eggs, and coffee. Then, we packed up and reluctantly said goodbye to our mountain weekend.

What I love about Mont-Tremblant is how easy it is to unwind. Whether you’re exploring the village, savoring local cuisine, or lounging by the pool, everything feels effortlessly relaxing. It’s the kind of place that reminds you how important it is to slow down — even if it’s just for a couple of days.
